WQED proudly presents a new documentary, "Steel Links"! Director of Communications and Media Relations at the Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center, Josh Axelrod, discusses the public screening and other upcoming events. "Steel Links" is a new documentary 'love letter' to Pittsburgh's heart, hustle, and heroes. It is about the 10th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club, and the resilience and legacy of the city itself. This 1 hour story features Neil Walker, Charlie Batch, Bill Cowher, Wiz Khalifa, Rocco Mediate, and Carol Semple Thompson, among many other Pittsburghers. Josh highlights the amazing opportunity for the Lindsay Theater to host the world premiere of this documentary for the public. The public screening on June 9th will feature a Q&A with WQED's President and CEO, Jason Jedlinski. The film debuts on WQED-TV (Channel 13.1) on Tuesday, June 10th at 9 pm. There will be an encore presentation on Thursday, June 12th at 8 pm. "Steel Links" will subsequently be available for streaming in the PBS app. Josh also talks about the films showing at the Lindsay currently, including the quite popular live-action remake of "Lilo & Stitch". There will also be a film screening of "The Piano Lesson" on Juneteenth. Finally, in partnership with Stroll Sewickley, there will be a community event on June 17th with a screening of the live action remake of "How to Train Your Dragon".
