Pianist Nanette Kaplan Solomon joins violinist Roy Sonne to invite you to a free concert program of the 4 B’s. Beyond Bach Beethoven and Brahms Nanette has programmed Victoria Bond the former Exxon Arts Endowment Conductor who worked with Andre Previn and the Pittsburgh Symphony plus served as Director of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony. Nanette and Roy speak with Jim Cunningham and play William Bolcom’s Graceful Ghost in the studio just for you at 4802 Fifth Avenue. As Nanette wrote about the concert: While we all know and love music by the "three B's" (Bach, Beethoven and Brahms), please join us on Tuesday, March 14 at 1 PM in Levy Hall of Congregation Rodef Shalom, as we present works by four lesser known B's. The program, entitled "Another Four B's" will feature selections from Max Bruch 's Eight Pieces for clarinet, viola, and piano in an arrangement for violin, clarinet, and piano, Victoria Bond's Bridges for violin, clarinet and piano, William Bolcom;s Graceful Ghost Rag for violin and piano, and Amy Beach's magnificent piano quintet. Performers include Roy Sonne, violin, Laura Motchalov, violin, Janice Coppola, clarinet, Rachel McGuire, viola, Robin Hasenplug, cello, and Nanette Kaplan Solomon, piano. For those not able to attend in person, the program, will, as usual, be livestreamed, and then archived on TMC's YouTube channel.
