Michele de la Reza, Co Founder of Attack Theater, joins Jim Cunningham and Kristen Linfante, Executive Director of Chamber Music Pittsburgh, to discuss "Behind Ourself Concealed" - a dynamic collaboration bringing together internationally acclaimed musicians with contemporary dance creating an enticing tapestry of movement and musical narratives. Friday through Sunday, February 24th through 26th at Attack Theatre Studios in Lawrenceville. The performance features acclaimed cellist Dave Eggar, award-winning jazz violinist Meg Okura, powerhouse clarinetist Tasha Warren-Yahuda, Tino Cardenes on keyboard for Friday and Saturday, and on Friday and Saturday night there will be a special appearance by musical legend Paquito D’Rivera. The production is inspired by the recently commissioned works by composers D’Rivera, Okura, Nathalie Joachim, Cornelius Boots, Pascal LeBeouf, and Martha Redbone. The concert is presented in partnership with Chamber Music Pittsburgh’s Pittsburgh Performs series. Two of the works on the program by Paquito D’Rivera and Pascal LeBoeuf were each nominated for a 2023 Best Instrumental Composition Grammy award, a rare honor for one chamber album.
