The summer time is here, and it's perfect to listen to Barbershop-style music! Director of the Cranberry Men's Chorus Ron Brooks, and members Larry and Noah, talk about the Chorus's upcoming summer concerts. Ron talks about the all-male chorus based in Cranberry, PA, and what barbershop music comprises of. It features four vocal parts, the lead melody, the high tenor above the melody, and the bass and baritone to round out the harmonic chords. Larry highlights their upcoming concerts in the area, which include singing a pre-show game for the Washington Wild Things on August 10th, and evening concerts at Cranberry's Town Square Market. Noah describes the two quartet's he is a part of. They all emphasize the brotherhood, joy, and mentorship in the chorus, as members from age 20 to 80 enjoy singing together. You can see the Cranberry Men's Chorus on Sunday, May 18th at the Adams War Memorial at 2 pm. Their Fall Concert will be on October 11th at 7 pm.
